Should Google+ Marketing (Still) Be a Part of Your Digital Strategy?

Now, I’m always up for a good challenge, and being new around here, I definitely wanted to knock this one out of the park. However, I had some concerns. Let me tell you what it takes Kelly half the post to get to.
Google thinks very highly of its self, and when you see where it places its self in this chart below, and how they place them selves above Face book, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram, you have to ask yourself, regardless of what you think of Google Plus, Should we be using G+ a part of our ranking solution.

The answer should be a resounding YES.
It doesn't matter what everybody else thinks or doesn't think, all that matters is when you see Google basically telling everyone, "use Google plus and you will rank higher". If you want to rank your website Google plus is an absolute necessary part of your social media network.
When we build a branded social media network for our clients, Google Plus is one of the first accounts we open and optimize for their product, brand, company, or service.
There are other big SEO companies out there that don't even consider using Google plus as part of their social media network, and only use maybe three other social media properties. This is a very big mistake if you are trying to make an online presence.
Even if you think no one will ever see that post or that video that you publish on Google Plus, do it anyway because Google thinks it is relevant and Google gives it more preference over its competition. I promise, you will start to see your post, your video, and even your website when used correctly, rise in the ranking.
